FOX Sports Radio's LaVar Arrington Honored at Penn State Game

LOS ANGELES, November 1, 2022 – This past weekend, Penn State and the National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame jointly honored FOX Sports Radio’s LaVar Arrington – co-host of the network’s weekday morning program “Two Pros and a Cup of Joe” with Brady Quinn and Jonas Knox, and co-host of the nationally-syndicated weekend program/podcast “Up On Game” with TJ Houshmandzadeh and Plaxico Burress – with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute during halftime at the Penn State vs. Ohio State game at Beaver Stadium. A former Penn State All-American Linebacker, Arrington was recognized for his time at the university and his upcoming induction into the College Football Hall of Fame in December 2022.

“First and foremost, I want to give a sincere thank you to my family because without them, I would have come up short,” Arrington said in a Penn State press release. “My parents, brothers and sister instilled in me a mindset that was built so deep and so strong. Next, I want to thank Coach Paterno, my coaches and my teammates. They all played a big part in my development...To my teammates, if it wasn't for some of the greatest players ever to play college football, I would not have been the player I was able to be…

“A big thank you to my wife, Trishia, and to my kids, Keeno, Marlee, LaVar, Laila and Penn, who is named after Penn State…I certainly want to send a much deserved thank you to Penn State for supporting me. I also appreciate the support from all the fans. They have always been the greatest fans in the world. The love I feel even to this day is just unmatched.”

During his career at Penn State, Arrington was one of the nation’s top players as an All-Big-Ten selection; a two-time All-American, including a consensus selection in 1999; the Dick Butkus Award winner and Lambert Award winner as the nation’s top linebacker in 1999; and the Chuck Bednarik Award winner as the nation’s top defensive player in 1999, among other honors.
